Families staying at Ronald McDonald House Ireland walk through our doors with very little. During long and stressful hospital stays, practical support makes a real difference. That’s where Gifts in Kind come in.
Gifts in Kind are donated goods and services that help make the House feel like a home. From everyday essentials to special treats, these contributions matter. They support families directly and help keep the House running smoothly.
Gifts in Kind are essential to our daily life at the House.
These items and services are not extras. They are part of the care families experience while their child receives treatment.
They help us:
Welcome families with things they need right away.
Keep shared spaces stocked and comfortable.
Lighten the load for parents at an already difficult time.
Create a feeling of normality and support during long stays.
We are always grateful for thoughtful, practical donations. Every gift helps.
If you have something you would like to donate, just get in touch. Some examples of gifts that help families include:
Because space in the House is limited, we ask that all Gifts in Kind are coordinated in advance. That way we know exactly what is coming and can make the best use of every donation.

Some of our biggest gifts in kind come from schools, community groups and local businesses. Whether it is a box of treats for families, fresh meals for a week or a skilled service donated in support of the House, these contributions bring comfort and connection.
Our local Base Pizza donates pizzas for the full House on special occasions – from Father’s Day to Bank Holidays – we can count on them!
